2024 was an AMAZING year for RBJ Community Consulting. As we prepare for seven years of business, I can’t help, but to feel an overwhelming sense of pride and purpose when I think about all I have been able to accomplish. I’ve worked with some of the most impactful nonprofit and community organizations across the nation (check some of them out here) and I’ve helped almost 30 people gain nonprofit status with a 100% success rate (this number may seem low, but I’m very intentional about nonprofit startup clients because it’s not for everyone).
I appreciate how I’ve been able to stay connected to organizations and people doing work that means the most to me. I’m so appreciative of all the referrals, clients, and projects I’ve been blessed to lead and support.
🎉 As a celebration of the new year, I’m offering a 10% discount off any services booked with me in the month of January 2025.
Now, let’s get to some free stuff … (idealist.com was a great resource for this)
I wanted to share some freebies (and discounts) nonprofit organizations can and should be taking advantage of in the new year:
Training & Professional Development

Courses range from grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit leadership training, volunteer engagement, starting a nonprofit, managing and nonprofit Board, and more.
This website offers an archive of free online courses, videos, and podcasts for nonprofit professionals.
Google offers free online trainings and discounted certification programs to help nonprofit professionals advance.

Event Spaces
Local libraries are a great space to host free events and meetings. They have parking, Wi-Fi, and other amenities that make it an ideal gathering space.
Also consider renting out space at your local YMCA, community resource centers, schools, or Boys & Girls Club.
Video and Audio Conferencing
Zoom is an online platform used for video and audio conferencing. Discounts for nonprofits are available.
